Hi,

Heres 37426 Vale Of Rheidol, done this one a few times now I like weathering this loco up especially because my mum and I use to holiday on the Cambrian so this loco brings back fond memorys for me, I also own this loco two its in pritty much the same condition as this beauty.

There hasn't been many updates since last week as i'm currently finding out if were able to get a mortgage to keep this house were in still (my mums house) so now thou i've bin saying this since my mum passed in winter 2010 this is it now the decision will be made on wheither we stay or have to move? The missus has already said that if we can't keep my mums house that she'd like to either move abroad or to Wales so its a pritty stressfull time for both of us right now but i'm doing my commisions in between speaking to my advisor and trips to the solicitors.

Cheers, Jon.

Hi Jon,

Sorry to hear you're having a stressful time of it at the moment. I hope it's some consolation when I say that your work is as stunning as ever!

Hi Chris thanks for that much appreciated and yes tbh its been stressfull ever since my mum passed i've not been the same since and this house thing has taken ages to finally get to where were at now with all the messing and waiting around, just hope its good news or i reckon that all be it for me model wise if i loose my mums house then the interest in continuing this hobby won't be there especially if the missus is set on moving abroad!

Cheers, Jon.

Jon, my thoughts are with you at this time. I appreciate you're going through a stressful time, so take it easy mate, and don't worry about us. I wish you all the best with the issues, and hope you do get to stay within the hobby.

All the best, and keep up the good work!

Evening all,

Heres a couple more just finished, 37712 & 37220 don't qoute me guys on the body mistakes/issues they were bought from a shop and my customer was gutted about the state of them when they arrived with him! So they came to me to have the weathering sorted and noses made yellow again as they were literally black with weathering!

I've heard that Olivias can be hit and miss with things. The fact they are ripping people off with prices when there are people like you Jon out there that do a better job!

Yes mate some shops and other sprayers can charge hell of a lot and the majority charge more than me and don't do a proper job or as good a job! The usual thing with others i've noticed is they weather loco's up but don't clean the wheels afterwards! So the loco won't work when placed on the track!

Anyways heres a tank i've bin working on, its a bachmann bogie tank i've re-worked and labelled up as a TOTAL north east TEA tank, i've added S-kits Y25 clasp braked bogies & white metal parts under the chassis aswell as white painted brass brake wheels to make her look a bit more like the ones that ran thru Barnetby in the 80's/90's.+ another 60011 re-spray enjoy chaps :)
