But if you think about it the eHattons website sell Bachmann's Sound 37 for £154 or £155 so its not that much more expensive than the standard ones with the 10% off.

P.S. It would probably be even more expensive to fit sound later because Howes sound chips are £117 alone and on top of that you have got to get the 37 (eHattons £61-4)

Still expensive though ;) Although a sound 37 would be lush!

Noticed that the Bachmann / Model Rail Ltd Edition DRS 37409 is now available to preorder on the website :)

Prices are £85.00 for non-sound version and £179.99 for sound version.

Links below :-

Looks good and an even better price when you apply the subscribers discount lol

Anyone else getting one ?

Quite agree with you on both points ! I expect there will be some who buy them and put them on a well known auction site to make a profit.

Yes indeed there will be the usual bad eggs out to make a quick quid like with every ltd edition model they getem an throw em on straight away its becoming a joke and more are doing it two nowadays!

On the 37 thats expensive and for a basic blue livery i'm quite pleased i spray my own and don't model up to date aswell! I won't pay more than 130.00 for any sound chipped loco unless it howes howes sound fitted or similar if standard then 13.00 is more than enough think the cheapest i got a sound 37 for was 83.00 quid last year:)

Mine is now sat idling away as I do my homework. I have to say the sound is very good. One slight issue is I have not found the etched name plates that were supposed to come with it and I have had a good look where I opened it and haven't seen them so looks like I will have to order some nameplates off somewhere. :(

Excellent! Saw the loco on the turntable display thingy at the Model Rail stand at Warley today, and I have to say, good job Bachmann!

Bachmann hadn't put the plates in with the DCC Sound version so I got them today when I got back as they had been sent separately.
